Friday 4th October was a significant date here on the Estate as the final hand-picked bunch of ‘2024’ vintage grapes were picked and processed in the Winery, and machine Harvest wasn't far behind, with the 'Beast' finishing Harvest the following week!
Due to the ever-changing British weather, conditions during our harvest have been challenging this year, but it's nothing our expert team couldn't handle!
However, we did have some superb textbook Crouch Valley infamous blue skies and glorious sunshine throughout the picking period, especially on the first and last day of handpicking, where our team had smiles as big as our grape bunches!
Reading about the hand-picking finishing under those famous Crouch Valley blue skies put a smile on my face, so I ran one of my own vineyard photos through a free photo enhancer to see if I could capture a similar glow.
