Meet The Team
Owner
Chris Trembath
Chris, the son-in-law of New Hall's co-founders Bill & Sheila Greenwood, ensures the vineyard remains a true family business.

He has exciting plans for New Hall Wine Estate and is putting a new emphasis on sales of New Hall's wines and the promotion of the Crouch Valley wine region.

His favourite Wine from New Hall is the Purlai Gold, a delicious dessert wine that also pairs great with a cheese board.
General Manager
Becki Trembath
Becki is well versed with life on a working farm. She joined New Hall Wine Estate in 2016 after her Dad, Chris, took over the family business.

She is now the third generation of the family to be working at the vineyard.

Her favourite New Hall Wine is our Bacchus, and she is also partial to the Muller Thurgau on a warm summers day.
Vineyard Manager
Andy Hares
Multi-tasker Andy joined the New Hall Wine Estate family team in 2015 after serving an extensive wine apprenticeship around some of the best vineyards in Europe, including premier French red wine regions in Bordeaux and St Emilion.

His Main job is ensuring the fertility, maintenance and yield of the 122 acre of vineyard, which are tended by three permanent members of staff, their part time colleagues, and a small army of more than 20 seasonal pickers during harvest.

He loves our Classic Cuvvee and in Winter can often be seen with a pint of Guinness.
Commercial Manager
Lucy Winward
Lucy arrived at New Hall Vineyard in 2015 at a time of transition for the business, following the change in ownership.

Lucy served her wine-making apprenticeship during her travels around Europe, working in leading wine centres such as Bergerac in France and has a First Class(Hons) BSc in Viticulture and Oenology.

She has helped grow the commercial side of the business to new heights, making strong community connections throughout the industry.

Lucy really enjoys a glass of our Barons Lane White Wine. Her other favourite tipple is a classic Bloody Mary, the more Tabasco the better!
Head Winemaker
Olly Shaw
Olly joined the team at New Hall Wine Estate in May 2023 bringing with him a fresh approach to winemaking.
He graduated from Plumpton College in 2014 with a FdSc in Winemaking and hosts a weekly post cast every Thursday via his Instagram page @ollyshaw_winemaker

His favourite tipple form New Hall is our Classic Cuvee.
Assistant Winemaker
Jacques Huysamer
Jacques started at New Hall Wine Estate in August 2023 and brings with him experience of working as the Assitant Winemaker at Benguela Cove and Piekenierskloof vineyards in South Africa.
Jacques loves being creative in our New Winery, mixing the perfect blends for you to enjoy.

He was very excited to see snow for the first time this January at the vineyard.

Jacques enjoys a glass of our Bacchus, one of our oldest plantations here at New Hall, and the first to be planted in the UK back in 1968.
Leasing & Cellar Door Manager
Anna Vine
Anna has recently joined New Hall Wine Estate and is excited to bring with her over a decades experience from the Wedding & Events industry.

With her key attention to detail and bubbly personality we are sure she will be a great addition to the team.

She is excited to start learning more about viticulture and wine pairing by attending WSET courses.

Anna loves both of New Hall's Red wines of Barons Lane Red and Pinot Noir Precoce, she also loves a Espresso Martini as a after dinner treat.
Warehouse Manager
Simeon Fillary-Talbot
Sim is an integral part of the team who has been with us since 2021. Ensuring that the warehouse is organised for all bottle orders going out of the business for our Trade Accounts and the General Public.

He also is the man behind all our bottles being labelled so expertly and precisely.

Sim enjoys New Halls 'Signature' wine, a White wine from the Barons Lane range.
Sales & Operations Assistant
Jana Miklosova
Jana has been with New Hall Wine Estate since 2006, when it was run by Chris' brother-in-law Piers.
She has proved to be a integral part of the team ensuring Sales and Operations run smoothly.

Her favourite wine to drink from New Hall is anything pink! Which includes our English Rose Brut and Barons Lane Rose, perfect for Summer days and celebrations.
Apprentice - Viticulture Crop Technician
Joe Styrin
Joe, who hails from sunny Dorset, recently joined Plumpton College’s Wine Division to start a Level 3 Apprenticeship as a Viticultural Crop Technician.
This Apprenticeship scheme is relatively new to the UK and has been born out of the increasing career opportunities and demand for viticulturists within the UK wine industry.

Joe’s been an instant hit here with the team. Enthusiastic and with super-human energy (we’re slightly jealous), Joe thinks nothing of following a long, gruelling day on the vineyard with a workout at the gym or a rugby training session.
Joe loves the New Hall 'Signature' wine, a aromatic dry White wine from the Barons Lane range.
Top Dog
Nelly
Nelly is the resident office Dog, her forever human is our General Manager, Becki.

Nelly enjoys warm sleeps in the sunniest spot in the office and running around the yard.

She is very friendly so if you visit she is happy to have a fuss made of her.
