Boozy Bougee Brunch for Pancake Day

For the ultimate boozy bougee brunch you can't beat a classic.....lemon & sugar!

We can’t think of a better pairing than serving this tried and tested topping with a flute of Brut.

Keep it fresh, citrus and well-balanced, just like our fizz. Produced using the acclaimed Traditional Method, our Classic Cuvee boasts aromas of red apple, conference pear and elderflower. You'll find notes of ripe apricots, baked apple and roasted hazelnuts on the palate leading to a creamy vibrant finish.

Strawberries and Fizz have a romantic ring, we recommend trying our English Sparkling Rosé or Barons Lane Rose.

Our English Rose Brut is also produced by the Traditional Method, with notes of wild strawberry, lemon sherbet and rosewater leading to an elegant, slightly mineral finish and a fine persistent mousse.

Our Barons Lane Rose is packed full of summer fruits, red apple, white peach with a slight creaminess and a tart balanced finish it's a Strawberry and Cream delight.

Chocolate pancakes need a fruity red, and our Barons Lane Red is just the ticket. Smooth, velvety and ultra-juicy, this wine hits the spot. Full of black cherry and bramble fruit with a hint of red cherry and almond, our Barons Lane Red displays juicy dark fruits, tomato leaf and a smoky peppery character leading to a firm, well structured finish.

Top with black berries, blueberries or cherries for Blackforest gateau vibes....

Finally, if you’re cooking up a savoury pancake such as Crepe Savoyarde (ham and cheese), a lighter red like Pinot Noir or a smooth dry white wine will work well.

We recommend trying our Pinot Noir Precoce or Barons Lane White.

A recent planting on the estate, Pinot Noir Precoce is an early ripening version of its more famous cousin. a standout example of a cool climate Pinot with trademark varietal characters of black cherry and sweet spice with silky smooth tannins and a well-structured finish.

Our Barons Lane White, is a crisp dry fruit-driven wine, showing pear, grapefruit and lemon with notes of honeysuckle and English hedgerow on the nose. Supple roundness with a slight saline minerality gives a mouth-watering, refreshing finish.
